1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SearchSystems.net (the "Site"), operated by Search Systems SR LLC ("SearchSystems," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
2. Nature of the Service
SearchSystems.net is a public records directory and search guide. We provide:
- Curated, categorized links to official federal, state, county, and city government databases;
- Editorial guidance on how to search those databases;
- Reference content explaining U.S. public records law, jurisdiction, and search methodology.
We do not host, store, maintain, sell, or control the data inside any government database linked from the Site. When you click a link, you leave SearchSystems.net and are subject to the policies of the destination site.
3. FCRA Notice — Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
SearchSystems.net is NOT a Consumer Reporting Agency ("CRA") as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. ("FCRA"). Information available on or through the Site is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a "consumer report."
You may NOT use any information obtained through SearchSystems.net for purposes governed by the FCRA, including but not limited to:
- Employment screening or hiring decisions;
- Tenant screening or housing decisions;
- Credit, insurance, or financial-services underwriting;
- Determining eligibility for government benefits or licenses;
- Any other purpose listed in 15 U.S.C. § 1681b.
For any FCRA-regulated purpose, you must obtain a consumer report from a licensed Consumer Reporting Agency that complies with the FCRA, including its accuracy, notice, and dispute provisions.
4. Accuracy, Completeness, and Availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep directory links current. Government websites, however, are operated by independent agencies and change frequently — URLs move, portals are redesigned, databases go offline, and policies change without notice.
- We do not guarantee that any link, lookup, or external database will be available, functional, or up to date at any given time.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, currency, or fitness-for-purpose of any information obtained from a linked government database.

5. Permitted Use
You may use the Site for lawful purposes, including:
- Personal research and education;

- Use automated agents (bots, scrapers, AI crawlers) in a manner that violates our robots.txt directives or imposes an undue load on our infrastructure;
- Use the Site in violation of any federal, state, local, or international law.
7. Intellectual Property
The Site's original content — editorial guidance, written articles, curation, organization, taxonomy, code, design, brand assets, and the SearchSystems.net name and logo — is owned by Search Systems SR LLC and protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may quote brief excerpts of Site content for non-commercial purposes with proper attribution and a link back to the source page. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from substantial portions of the Site without our prior written permission.
Links to public records databases lead to content owned by the respective government agencies; we claim no rights in that underlying government data, which is generally in the public domain.
8. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site contains links to third-party websites and services operated by government agencies, official vendors, and other organizations. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party site or service. Your interactions with third-party sites are governed by the terms and privacy policies of those sites.
Some pages may display advertising or affiliate links. Sponsored content is clearly marked. SearchSystems.net does not sell personal information to advertisers.
9. Disclaimers
THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SEARCHSYSTEMS.NET DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, AND UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. ANY INFORMATION YOU OBTAIN THROUGH THE SITE IS USED AT YOUR OWN RISK.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL SEARCH SYSTEMS SR LLC, ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR CONTRACTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE OR ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH IT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not fully apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Search Systems SR LLC and its owners, officers, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your misuse of the Site or any information obtained through it; or (c) your violation of any rights of a third party.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Site will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
You agree that any claim must be brought in your individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including any actual or suspected violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 12) will continue in force.
14. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. These Terms (together with our Privacy Policy and any notices on the Site) constitute the entire agreement between you and SearchSystems.net regarding the Site.
